This year marks the 5th year of the FUSO Diamond Contest organised by MBM CV, the authorised distributor of FUSO trucks in Malaysia. The contest comprised of two draws; a Mini Draw held in August 2017, and culminating in the Grand Draw ultimate prize - a Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 and a trip to Japan.
Held at an exciting gala dinner at One World Hotel, the lucky draw was randomly drawn from the pool of 2,176 entries comprising FUSO customers nationwide. Brothers, Tan Kim Chai and Tan Kim Seng, from SDS Bakeries Sdn Bhd were overjoyed at winning the 2017/2018 FUSO Diamond Contest Grand Prize.
SDS Bakeries Sdn Bhd the Grand Prize winner is one of MBM CV’s long-standing customers, having purchased its first FUSO truck seven years ago. “Quality trucks with low downtime and good aftersales service was the reason for our continued support for FUSO trucks. We bought our first FUSO truck back in 2011 as we wanted to expand our business. Currently, we have more than 150 FUSO trucks and intend to expand our fleet in the near future,” said SDS Bakeries Sdn Bhd Manager, Mr Tan Kim Seng.
26 other lucky winners also took home attractive prizes during the gala dinner. Global Inter-Dream (M) Sdn Bhd, Heng Seng & Company Sdn Bhd, TJM Marketing Sdn Bhd and ABX Express (M) Sdn Bhd each won a trip to Japan as well and service vouchers worth RM5,000, RM4,000, RM3,000 and RM2,000, taking the first, second, third and fourth places respectively. Additionally, 10 lucky FUSO customers received consolation prizes of service vouchers worth RM2,000 each, while 12 other lucky FUSO customers each received service vouchers worth RM1,000.
The night also saw 20 lucky winners taking home a Mercedes-Benz watch, with the 21st winner, Mr. Tan Se Hooi, winning the night’s mystery draw, a trip to Japan.
As an authorised dealer for FUSO trucks, MBM CV caters to the medium-range commercial vehicle market segment with light, medium and heavy-duty FUSO trucks. The FUSO light duty trucks (FE71PB, FE83PE, FE83PG, FE85PG, FG83PE [4X4]) are commonly used for short distance distribution, inter-state logistic transportation and tipper operations, while the medium duty trucks (FM65FJ, FM65FN) are used as compactor trucks, roll-on-roll-off trucks, tankers and for long distance logistics. FUSO heavy-duty trucks (FN62FM) are commonly used in quarry sites and also as tipper trucks.

The FUSO Diamond Contest 2017/2018 was open to FUSO owners who registered their FUSO commercial vehicles between 1 January 2017 and 31 December 2017. Since its inception in 2006, MBM CV has received more than 10,000 entries for the FUSO Diamond Contest.
